PRAYER UPDATE November 2016 - #2

Our Changing SERVE Austria Team

As many of you already know, two of our team members have decided to not continue on with us now that they have completed their initial commitment to SERVE. Both Adam and Kasey have been amazing team members who, by the grace of God, saw incredible ministry during their four year term. I am sure we will continue to hear stories over the years of how they impacted people here.

For those of us remaining, our ministry revolves around three main areas of church leadership development: within the refugee population in Vienna, to other local churches in Vienna and in churches in other countries of Central Europe. You heard last week about our local church and our next two newsletters will focus on our ministries in Central Europe and among refugees.

We also have two new people to introduce to you, although many of you may already actually know them.
  • Craig Harris is currently interning with us as a part time job while he attends University here in Vienna. Seeing his faithful walk with Christ over the past 5 or 6 years has been such a joy for us. He will participate in our local church as well as on our team, we are excited he is here.
  • Margie Keith has started the DBC Missionary Training program this semester and we will see her here the last week in November on a vision trip, the hope is she will come on Stint next school year. Margie brings many new dimensions to our team and we are excited to see where God leads.
Although Craig will be staying in Vienna for the upcoming DBC Missions Conference, you can meet Margie at our hut in the foyer and at our team breakout sessions if you don’t already know her.

On a Personal Note

We have continually asked that you pray that we would find good friendships here in Austria. We praise God that He is answering those prayer as some of our friendships here are deepening. Thank you for your faithful prayers. The body of Christ is indeed an amazing thing and we praise God for it. Continue to pray these relationships will deepen even further.

Below you will see information about the DBC Missions Conference. This means we are coming to the states! We arrive at DFW December 26th and will then go to meet our new granddaughter in Austin! We haven’t yet made final decisions about where we will be January 2 – 11, but we will definitely be in Denton January 12 – 23. Come visit us at our Austrian hut in the foyer at DBC before, between or after services either of those weekends! Watch future newsletter for more details and for additional meet up times.

We have found a place to stay, but are still hoping to find an automobile to borrow. We know it is asking a lot to borrow someones car, but if or someone you know of can meet this need, please let us know at ford@timandlorivienna.com.
