PRAYER UPDATE APRIL 2015
It has been too long since our last update and we apologize for that. It was great to see many of you when we were in the States for Denton Bible’s Missions Conference. It was a busy time and in some ways exhausting, but for the most part it was incredibly energizing as we were shepherded well by our team in Denton.

We returned to Vienna and fell right back into our lives here.
  • Having time away actually seemed to help us in our language development, and although we have a long way to go still, God is encouraging our hearts.
  • Our church, New City Wien, is going well and growing quicker than we imagined. In addition to attending a German speaking small group, we are also co-leading an English speaking small group with another couple. Our hope is we will do more than simply meet once a week, but we will become a community of believers who truly “spur one another on to love and good deeds” (Heb 10:24).
  • Our team facilitated a Leadership Academy for young leaders here in Austria that was well received. It was encouraging to see so many young people seriously considering how to “do” discipleship among teens here in Austria.
  • We have had the privilege of working together with a cross cultural married couple here who are struggling in their marriage. This has been challenging at times as we rely on God to change hearts.
  • Lori had the opportunity to make another trip to Moscow with Janis Saville, Chris Cobble, Dee Ann Reed and Dee Amason. She was primarily an observer and learned much. She also gave a testimony of what God has been teaching her lately and afterwards many women expressed their appreciation for her openness.
  • Tim was blessed to travel to Romania and Ukraine with Mike Scheer, Sam Buliga and Jimmy Harris. Chris Cobble joined us from Russia the last couple of days. We taught at two existing advanced BTCP groups and had a graduation ceremony for one of them. We also spent time discussing future ministry with national leaders both in Romania and Ukraine. It appears we have much work ahead of us.
  • Jim and Brenda Brosch are in Austria for a month tying up loose ends and we have been able to help some. Even though they and we are sad the overseas chapter of their life is coming to an end, we are all excited about the ministry God is calling them to in Paris, Texas.
  • We received our new Residency Permits. Look close, they do not expire until 2018!! We were blessed with permission to stay in Austria for three more years without turning in paperwork the next two years.
  • Lori received a letter in the mail from a sweet friend in Denton the other day. In it she reminded us of the verse in 2 Thes 3.1 “Pray for us … that the Word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored.”  We love that.

So, please pray …

… our language would continue to grow to a place we could use German to facilitate the Word of the Lord speeding forward and being honored.
… that New City Wien and her small groups would be a place where the Word of the Lord would speed forward and be honored.
… that the Word of the Lord would speed forward and be honored in the lives of the Young Leaders in churches throughout Austria.
… that the Word of the Lord would speed forward and be honored in our marriage and in the marriage of the couple we are meeting with.
… that the Word of the Lord would speed forward and be honored in Moscow, in Romania, in Ukraine and in Paris, Texas.
