Prayer Letter August 2012
Urgent Prayer Request - GERMAN TEST AUGUST 11TH We are both excited and nervous that we finally have a test date set. We will travel to Houston on Monday, August 6th so we can have a couple more intense preparation sessions for the test at the German Learning Center that week. We will then take the test on Saturday, August 11th.
We can so relate with Snoopy. Learning a new language is difficult and often feels impossible along the way. Most of you know we have to pass a German test so we can receive the certification necessary to receive our residency visa in Austria. We have been working on this for seven months and we can see that we have made real progress. We took a class at Brookhaven Community College, we went to Houston to learn more about the test, we completed the study material created specifically for the test and we have worked with two different tutors here in Denton. We can tell we have made progress in our language development, but we are afraid our ladder is too short. Please pray with us that our preparation has been sufficient, that our final preparations would be beneficial, that we would relax and do our best on the day of the test and THAT WE WOULD PASS. For any of you in the Greater Houston area - we would love to get together while we are in town! Give us a call if you will be around. Tim (940)231-8185 Lori (940)367-5687 |
Other Prayer Requests Continue to pray for Lori’s foot. The doctor gave her the OK to walk on it, but it still gives her some pain.
Continue to pray that God would keep our hearts fully devoted to Him during this preparation period, and continue to burden our hearts for the people of Austria, Central Europe and beyond. |
