PRAYER UPDATE February/March 2016
Lori Oasis
As we have been reporting over our past few updates, the churches in Vienna are banding together to start a center to serve refugees here in the city. During the planning stages of that, Lori received an invitation to help out with a Women’s afternoon ministry at the Oasis, which is a center already serving refugees just outside the city. Lori has only been a couple of times, but she is very encouraged by what is happening there and excited for the current ministry she will have as well as the invaluable experience she will gain.

Tim and Matt UkraineIn our last update we asked for prayer for a trip we were taking to Ukraine in February. There were many times in the planning and even the first day there that we wondered if this was really going to work out. In the end we were very encouraged by the trip. The Ukrainians seem to also be encouraged and have asked us to return. We leave for our second teaching trip on Wednesday and are in the process of figuring out how often we will travel as well as other details. We are excited to see where this partnership goes from here.

Tim and Lori Summer PlansOur plans are not finalized yet, but we will be in the States for several weeks this summer. Why this summer? Our daughter Sarah and her husband Steve are expecting their second child and our son Jason and his wife Jenny are in the process of adopting their second child! What better reason than to meet new grandchildren.
We will also carve out some time on this trip to catch up with as many of you as we can and try and meet with new potential prayer and financial supporters. In March we will send out a schedule of where we will be during what times so we can start setting up some meetings.

Serve Team AustriaAs missionaries we all have many good opportunities to do ministry presented to us. One thing that we all learned in our training is that we will need to say no to many of those opportunities so we can say yes to the great opportunities God sends our way. Mike Griffis visited here last week working with us as we seek to discern the great from the good individually and as a team.
Over the past three years Craig Harris has spent several months with our team here in Vienna. We are excited to let you know that he has made the decision to come and work part time with us as he completes his University studies. Craig brings enthusiasm, an easy smile and most importantly a servant’s heart to our team. He is raising support to come, so if you know Craig please ask him for more information.

Local Church
Our church continues to be a blessing to us. Tim has been going through Elder training which is coming to a close, Lori continues to disciple several single women and young Moms, we both have been attending outreach team meetings and we are a part of a great small group currently studying Judges.
